Consultation & Mentoring Group for HELPING Refugees

Make a difference in the lives of immigrants who are at the risk of being deported

You can help save the lives of persons who escape political persecution, women who escape domestic violence, minors who escape gang violence, and persons who flee anti-LGBT persecution.

These individuals are eligible to apply for asylum (and other protections from persecution and violence) … and we’re dedicated to helping them!

. . .

Well Clinic’s Refugee Mental Health Consultation & Mentoring Group is looking for volunteers to meet with refugees and translate their traumatic events and symptoms into coherent evaluations, which judges will use to determine the credibility and merit of their asylum applications.

As a volunteer, you can make an enormous difference in increasing the chances that immigrants who apply for asylum be allowed to remain in the United States.

All volunteers will receive training, consultation and mentoring to develop the skills necessary to evaluate asylum seekers.

HOW TO JOIN THE GROUP

The volunteer program is open to all licensed mental health practitioners. For more information or to apply, please contact our Clinical Director.
