All too often and for too long, we suffer without knowing the cause. Therapy can help.

Therapy assists clients in identifying the unconscious, maladaptive patterns that get in the way of professional success, the development of meaningful relationships, and the management of difficult emotions such as depression and anxiety.

I believe that the key to successful therapy is a relationship between the therapist and client that is warm, trusting, non-judgmental, and one in which the client feels seen and heard. I do not think I know my clients better than they know themselves, but rather, I frequently draw upon my clients’ own insights, experiences and strengths in therapy.

It is through these collaborative and active conversations that clients achieve a deeper understanding of themselves, their thoughts and behaviors, which in turn paves the way for growth and improvement.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, however, I also draw upon cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices depending on client needs.
