I strive to create an environment of honesty and curiosity. The foundation of our work is based on a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, active, and real. I primarily draw on psychodynamic and attachment theories to inform my work. This means I help clients gain greater access to their authentic self and increase their understanding of the blocks that might be hindering their fulfillment. However, I understand true change requires more than just insight. I work in the present moment so clients can have new experiences in the room that they can take with them and build upon in their lives outside of our work together.
As a couples therapist, my intention is to help each partner find satisfying and effective ways of expressing their unique position. Through this process, I work with each partner to increase their awareness around their “go-to” responses when issues arise and help them to develop different choices. My goal is to help the couple experience a greater sense of freedom, closeness, and love.
