Sessions are by appointment only and are 50 minutes in length; longer sessions are available by prior arrangement.
I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been practicing in the Bay area for over seven years working with adolescents, adults, and couples. My style is warm, attentive, & engaged. I believe we all need to be heard, understood & truly seen for who we are; for this is where a sense of self-trust can deepen & self-esteem can strengthen. I aim to create a safe & caring space so that you can feel open to be yourself & talk about your struggles without shame or judgment. I also honor the uniqueness of each individual & couple and will work in a way that meets your current needs (whether you are moving through a crisis situation, having communication issues, needing help managing anxiety or depression, or wanting to focus on personal growth).
My theoretical orientation is based in integral psychology (integrating your whole being – mind, body, heart, spirit, & cultural context), psychodynamic therapy (paying attention to the dynamics between therapist & client as well your personal history), and Jungian psychology (employing the unconscious mind as a source of healing and development). I am also trained and skilled in EMDR, an effective modality for working with trauma and other stuck emotions which can sometimes be a helpful supplement with talk-therapy.
